Change is hard.
Sometimes, we want to change.
We can’t bring ourselves to do it.
Other times, we don’t want to change at all.
We feel okay with how our lives are.
Or, at least, we think we do.
True contentment can be hard to come by.
Often, when we feel like we don’t want to change, it’s because we’ve settled.
It’s not because we don’t want more.
It’s because we’ve given up.
We might have worked hard previously.
We might not have.
It doesn’t matter.
What matters is what we’re doing now.
We’re stagnant and we know it.
We’re okay with not progressing.
With not working for more.
With our body.
With our career.
With our finances.
With our relationships.
With our mental or spiritual health.
As long as we can maintain a life like everyone else.
Or at least the facade of one.
We’ll get by.
If this is how you think and feel, please reconsider.
You could settle.
Leave your life as is.
Keep up the same routines.
Repeat the same patterns.
Live the same day, over and over.
That would be safe.
That would be comfortable.
But you are worthy of so much more.
You’ve only one life to live.
Expect more for yourself.
Then get to work.
What do you have to do to get to where you want to be?
What’s going on in your best life that isn’t going on now?
How can you make that happen?
What can you do today?
It might be a small step.
It might even be the wrong step.
But you’ll be working.
You’ll be moving.
You’ll be progressing.
You might not ever “get there”.
Many of us don’t.
But you’ll at least look back at a life devoted toward a worthy effort.
You’re worth that.
You’ve got this.
