Sources of stress and discontent in life are plenty.
Often, we don’t know how or why we even got to where we are.
We feel like we’re in a position we don’t like or can’t handle due to forces outside of our control.
Like we’re in a tough spot through no fault of our own.
The fact is we’re right.
There are countless forces outside of our control that play a role in shaping our circumstances.
The family, city, country, and time into which we’re born.
The billions of people living before and with us who have played a role in shaping our reality.
The eons of sunlight, darkness, and gravity that have shaped our planet.
Yeah, there’s a lot going on that we have zero control over.
99.99% of our circumstances are not our fault.
This doesn’t mean we should give up.
That we’re powerless.
That there’s nothing we can do to make our lives better.
We may not be able to change what happens to us.
We can always change what we do.
How we live.
What we do with what we have.
Fault and responsibility are not one and the same.
You may not have played a role in shaping all of your current circumstances.
You are, however, in the most direct position to improve them.
Focus on those things you can affect.
Do what you can.
That’s all you can do.
An earnest effort is never fruitless.
The outcome may not be what you had in mind.
But there is still progress.
There is still growth.
You are worthy of the best life.
You are capable of working towards it.
You’re going to do great.
You’ve got this.
