Many of us let our weight dictate everything.
How we think.
How we feel.
How we see ourselves in the mirror.
It doesn’t help that the most convenient time to check it is first thing in the morning.
If it’s not the right number or headed in the right direction, our day is ruined.
We’re a failure.
Yet we step on it, day in and day out.
And it dictates our lives, day in and day out.
It’s drilled into our head that our weight is the number one thing we should worry about.
We get the message through countless headlines, covers, and ads.
And it’s all our fault.
We can’t consistently do what we’re told or we do what we’re told and don’t see any results.
Thus, we’re either weak or broken.
Have you ever asked, “why?”
Why let weight have this much say?
In how you live your life?
How you assess your value?
Do you put this much emphasis on weight for anything else in life?
How much does home your home weigh?
Do you ever discuss this with appraisers, realtors, or apartment staff?
Do you even care?
Why let your weight play any role in your own self-worth?
Your value is in no way, shape, or form related to your gravitational pull to the Earth.
Of course, weight can be a sign that your physical health might need some work.
But no matter your physical health, you are worthy.
You have so much more to offer the world
More than your weight.
More than your size.
More than anything that can be measured.
The way you do those things only you can do.
Make others smile.
The way you’re a friend.
What if you made a decision before you step on the scale?
About your worth.
What kind of day you are going to have.
“I am worthy and today is going to rock”
Until you recognize its truth.
Because you are worthy.
You’ve got this.
