We can be so obsessed with goals.
We set out to achieve them.
We put in our blood, sweat, and tears.
We achieve them.
So often, we feel lost.
We’re let down by how little we feel.
We think, “is this it?”
We ask ourselves, “is this what I was working for?”
We realize that we don’t feel anything we thought we would.
Sure, there was some momentary excitement.
We may celebrate for a day or two.
But the feeling was fleeting.
The goal is behind us.
We’re not any happier.
We’ve got all the same problems we had beforehand.
We’re still the same person.
Reaching this tremendous goal we set just really didn’t do a whole lot for us.
You might feel empty after reaching a goal.
You might feel disappointed.
Seek out your next goal.
One worthy of your time and energy.
Then get to work.
There you’ll find your satisfaction.
It’s the worthy work that satisfies.
You might reach the goal.
You might not.
It doesn’t matter.
The work was worthy.
You are worthy.
You’ve got this.
