Do you feel like you “have to” go to the gym?
Or eat specific foods or a specific way?
Or sleep at night?
Go to work?
Let’s face it.
Sometimes there are things that we do that we do not “enjoy”.
They’re not fun.
Maybe they’re boring.
Maybe they’re uncomfortable.
Maybe we’d just rather be doing something else.
Chances are nobody is requiring you to do any of these things by threat of force.
Except maybe taxes 😉
The point is, we pretty much always have a choice.
Even if we don’t like our options.
We still pretty much always, in some way, choose how we live our life.
One of the first steps we can take in creating the life we deserve is reframe how we look at all of those things we have to do but don’t want to
Consider swapping out “I have to” for “I choose to”.
See how it feels.
Explore why you’re choosing to do those things.
The pursuit of a worthy goal?
Lack of options?
What can you do to start choosing activities and behaviors more in alignment with your best life?
So, why do you choose to go to the gym?
Eat how and what you eat?
Go to bed?
Go to work?
Take care of your kids?
Whatever it is that you do, explore why you’re doing it.
Explore if it’s in alignment with your best life.
If not, what are your other options?
If you see none, how might you create some?
Your circumstances will never be perfect.
You will never be perfect.
You are, however, enough.
You are worthy of working to create the best life.
It won’t be easy.
It won’t be quick.
You might not ever get to where you had in mind.
You might find the pursuit alone a worthy effort.
You’ve got this.
