Have you ever considered if you’re spending too much time and energy working towards looking and feeling awesome?
Don’t get me wrong.
I’m not suggesting that taking care of your body isn’t important.
It’s *super* important.
Your body is the vehicle through which you fulfill your life’s purpose.
But what if you’re spending so much time and energy creating a fit and healthy body that there isn’t any left over to actually use it?
After all, what’s the point of looking and feeling awesome if not to enhance all the other experiences this world has to offer?
Seek out your minimum effective dose.
The point at which you’re progressing steadily but any additional training, meal prep, targeted recovery, etc. yields diminishing returns.
Give that unused time and energy to things in life that matter way more.
It’ll take some time to figure out exactly what’s your minimum effective dose.
You won’t regret putting in the work to get it figured out, though.
If you sincerely enjoy going “all in” with your health and fitness.
If it’s what brings you joy.
By all means, pursue it with tenacity.
If not, there are infinitely better ways to spend your short time on this rock than training, grocery shopping, or meal prepping.
Life is way too short to spend a second more than necessary focused on your physical self.
There’s too much else to experience.
You have too much else to offer the world.
You’ve got this.
