Sometimes, despite our best efforts, the shiznit keeps piling on.
And there’s nothing we can do about it.
That’s just a fact of life.
What do you do when there’s nothing you can do?
When things are happening that you cannot control?
When there are factors involved in your life that you cannot change?

Look toward the factors that you can always control.
You can’t always affect what happens to you.
You can always affect your response to what happens to you.
You don’t have to lie to yourself.
Or tell yourself everything is great or even fine.
But it’s up to you what you let dictate your thoughts.
After all, that’s what determines your quality of life.
How you think, feel, and operate within your life’s circumstances.
If you don’t have a mindfulness practice, start now.
Otherwise, none of your other efforts may matter.
Your eating habits.
Without mindfulness, these may not bring you the satisfaction and quality of life you seek.

You can make it happen.
